Meet Holly Smith, Sr. Technical Recruiter

Holly Smith is a Senior Technical Recruiter at System Soft, where she started in May 2021. For more than two decades, Holly’s been a technical recruiter.

Holly answered five questions about her career and professional journey. Here’s more about Holly in her words.

How did you get into the field and what do you like most about it?

It was either stay in accounting or leap into staffing. I’m happy the staffing world has worked out.

I love working with people every day on something as important in their lives as employment. I’ve met tons of fabulous people this way. And I have had virtual travels all over the country and the world. I have gotten to know people, their backgrounds, skills and preferences.

What does your role at System Soft involve daily and what specialties do you serve?

I identify, meet, screen and match clients with candidates in technical fields, from tech support and infrastructure to developers, architects and leadership.

What made you want to join System Soft’s ITCS team?

I love the personality and energy of my manager, Tony Clark. And I liked the chance to come in at the beginning of a new enterprise.

What System Soft core value(s) do you relate to most and why?

I think people-centric covers it all. This is an organization that values it’s assets—it’s employees.

We feel it in the way our teams relate and the attention that we receive from corporate. The information, games, contests and celebrations make it possible to feel part of a great group of people, no matter how far apart we are.

What’s a fun fact about you most people at System Soft don’t know?

I love textile arts: Quilting, knitting, sewing, spinning, weaving. Show me a thread and I will find something to do with it.
