Meet Jake Welch, Sr. Technical Recruiter
Jake Welch is a Senior Technical Recruiter at System Soft, where he started in May 2021. He’s been active as an IT staffing recruiter for nearly five years.
Jake answered five questions about his career and professional journey. So, here’s more about Jake in his words.
How did you get into the field and what do you like most about it?
I was working in an inside sales position, and one day I received a LinkedIn message asking me if had ever thought about becoming a recruiter. So, I was recruited into recruiting.
What I like most about recruiting is constantly connecting with new people.
What does your role at System Soft involve daily and what specialties do you serve?
To sum it up, my day as a recruiter at System Soft consists of identifying and connecting with potential consultants. I’m responsible for a variety of different roles. But my specialties are in application development.
What made you want to join System Soft’s ITCS team?
The opportunity to help grow a company is what made me want to join System Soft’s IT consulting team. I knew it would be a new challenge and a way for me to grow (professionally) and personally.
What System Soft core value(s) do you relate to most and why?
Integrity is the core value that I connect with the most.
I was raised to always do what you say you are going to do. And to always treat everyone how you would like to be treated. I do my best to make sure I always have integrity in everything I do.
What’s a fun fact about you most people at System Soft don’t know?
A fun fact about me is that I have broken both of my femurs (the thighbone, which is the longest, heaviest and strongest bone in the human body). Breaking them at the time wasn’t necessarily fun, but now I have a fun fact.
